Patrick has been entertaining since he was 7 years old, and with 20 years in radio as a personality and voice over artist he brings a unique approach to MMA ring announcing. He believes that MMA needs its own style of ring announcing (or cage announcing as he likes to call it) that is different from the “old timey” boxing ring announcers of the past, after all MMA is a fairly new sport and is still evolving. With that said, Patrick agrees that the format of the ring announcer should remain the same, but that MMA should have a gritty and more extreme delivery that matches MMA’s appeal.
